The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation replaced the Data Protection Act 1998 and became law on 25 May 2018. Even though the UK will be leaving the EU in March 2019, the UK Government has made it clear that UK law on data protection will continue to mirror EU requirements. 

The Lady Masters Association (LMA) is committed to protecting the personal information of its members and will only use your personal information to operate the LMA and provide you with details of its activities. 

  • All personal data is controlled by the Chairman and the Executive Committee. 
  •  Your data will not be divulged to third parties without your consent unless such details are required to comply with prevailing legislation or regulation. 
  • You have the right to ask the Membership Secretary to show you what information is held about you. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate, complete and up to date and you can ask us to correct any personal information about you that you believe does not meet these standards. 
  •  You may ask for your data to be deleted if you wish to withdraw your consent to the LMA holding your information. 
  • If you have any concerns about the way in which we are collecting or using your personal data, you can raise your concerns with the Membership Secretary.
